Unfortunately, Jack still struggles to fall asleep, which leads Mrs. Peacock to let him stay awake and play quietly as long as he does not disturb his classmates or leave his mat. Despite following the rules, Jack soon encounters some cunning visitors who try to lure him off his mat. Will he obey his teacher's instructions or fall for the visitors' tricks? Too Excited to Sleep! is a delightful story that teaches children to be courageous and the importance of taking their naps to stay strong and healthy.

It introduces adorable characters like Jack and Mrs. Peacock, providing an opportunity for children to connect and relate to them. Tammy Christian uses a conversational tone and simple words, making the book engaging and easy to understand.
