A Coffee Gourmet app to help the coffee enthusiasts find the finest flavours

TatvaSoft, a leading iPhone app development company from London, UK had developed an iPhone app to help the people locate their nearest coffee shop and look what is famous around. This app was developed for a client who wanted to help the coffee lovers to find their best cup of coffee in their nearby location. To the increasing coffee lover’s crowd, this app worked best to provide ways in searching the best flavours.

This app facilitated posting a review about the coffee at a particular café. As the goal of this app is to present the right information, therefore the users were categorised into two types – General user and Coffee Professional or Expert. To assure that the posted review is authentic and helpful for others, a questionnaire form is required to be filled. The iPhone app was done in a way to offer a streamlined process for both reviewers and users to meet their objectives.

The phenomenon of posting a review is very simple. The user is required to search a coffee shop using the search facility and then select one from the list. After selecting any one café, address, location and contact details of the café will be listed down. Now, the user can post their review and score for the coffee. Also, in the similar way, all reviewed cafés can be found at the specific location of the user or at least three cafes at the nearby location.

A form is available for the reviewers to fill their personal details like name, location by the GPS tracker and phone number. Different criterions are set to judge a café, including light, ambience, music, food, seating and service. Complete freedom is giving to the user to write anything unique they found in the café. They can post a photo of the café or coffee whatever they wish.

A list of different coffee flavours is given to help the user in finding what they look for. Their coffee review will be based on presentation, cup volume, chocolate pattern, cream colour, chocolate pattern, cream stretch, foam texture flavour, taste, foam depth and mouth feeling after taste. The review posting facility is available for everyone and they can find the location using the map.

During the calculation of the review, more weightage is given to the reviews posted by the professionals or experts. The overall score is calculated taking the average of the ambience and reviews posted for different coffees. The client had got an international standardise method to help the people finding their cup of coffee that has also incurred business benefits to the client.
