Ellie Devers Dares Voice Actors to Speak the Truth in Secondary Worlds
In Ellie Devers’ lecture "Truth and Dare”, voice actors learn how to create a secondary world, communicating truthfully in imaginary circumstances. Using the basic acting technique of substitution, voice actors can speak the truth of the moment and then dare to go wherever the script and their imaginations dictate.
This podcast is the first episode that Ellie has contributed to the Voice Over Experts Podcast. Ellie will be lecturing on a regular basis, helping people to understand, develop and succeed in the business of voice acting. Founded in 2001, Audio Paint Voices is a voice over coaching and audio production company based in New York. Audio Paint Voices (Frank Piazza and Ellie Devers) teaches students, actors, and industry professionals how to understand and improve their reading and speaking skills with the ultimate goal of helping people learn the art of communicating effectively with their voices.
