TRMS Multimeter for use in medical and hygienic sensitive environments

GMC-I Messtechnik with the Brand GOSSEN METRAWATT, a leading supplier of test and measuring equipment, introduces SECULIFE HIT MD, a TRMS multimeter that has been designed especially for all hygienically sensitive areas. The particular infectiological and hygienic risks in those fields of application require reliable surface disinfection measures. When applying test instruments in these areas, the hygiene regulations must be strictly observed as well to ensure that any hygiene risks emanating from these instruments are minimized to the greatest possible extent.

Not only medical institutions, but also all production and research facilities in the pharmaceutical and food industry set high standards for hygiene. The special suitability of the SECULIFE HIT MD for these areas is confirmed by a positive hygiene expertise and a recommendation issued by the Department of Hygiene at the University Giessen Marburg. The tests were performed on the basis of the specifications by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie (DGHM) (German Association for Hygiene and Microbiology) and the Vereinigung für Angewandte Hygiene (VAH) (Association for Applied Hygiene). The possibility of safe disinfection of the SECULIFE HIT MD has been tested and confirmed.

The electrical values of medical devices are determined with the highest level of accuracy. The SECULIFE HITMD features a TRMS AC as well as AC + DC function. Capacitance measurement, resistance measurement, continuity and diode testing are part of the functional range of the SECULIFE HIT MD . A 4 MB data memory and the automatic adoption of measured values allow the user to concentrate completely on his measuring task.

The patented automatic blocking sockets (ABS) help to prevent all kinds of operating errors. All current measuring ranges are conducted via a single socket to avoid errors. Moreover, ABS prevents any faulty connection of measuring cables.

The testing of medical devices frequently requires the precise measurement of control signals and the setting of electronic characteristic values, either via digital display for fixed values or via analog display for dynamic measuring sequences. The SECULIFE HIT MD offers both of these. Large figures on the illuminated display facilitate reading. The applied measuring method allows for the waveform-independent TRMS measurement TRMS AC and AC + DC for voltage and current up to 20 kHz. The measuring quantities are selected via rotary selector and function key. The measuring range is adjusted automatically to the measured value. The input signal is examined for contact hazards irrespective of the selected input function or filtering. The measuring range can be set and fixed manually with a key.
