Spontaneous speech on Koblenz's Münzplatz: Expert announces daycare center revolution

Koblenz, March 3, 2024 - The international expert in early childhood communication with baby sign language from Lehmen an der Mosel gave a spontaneous speech in Koblenz city center and announced a revolution in German daycare centers. Under her expert guidance, new daycare center instructors for baby sign language were trained this weekend to establish sign communication with babies and toddlers in daycare centers at over 70 locations.

On Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. on Münzplatz, a chorus of voices suddenly rang out, shouting: "Give babies a voice at last". The occasion was simply a banner that expert Kelly Malottke was carrying across the street on the way to her training course "Magical baby hands". The seminar participants spontaneously decided to take this as an opportunity to raise their voices for the program, which they themselves are enthusiastic about and convinced of, and to open the choir. The expert and speaker, who gives speeches on big stages and held the world record title of the 13th International Speakerslam a few months ago, then gave a short speech spontaneously in the middle of Koblenz's old town: "I can no longer stand the reporting on the scandals in daycare centers. It's time for a change," Kelly Malottke announced in an enthusiastic voice. "Despite the shortage of skilled workers and the circumstances in daycare centers, it can be easier than previously thought: baby sign language enables the youngest children to express their needs without detours using simple gestures and as concretely as if they could already speak like adults. Stress and misunderstandings - and therefore also scandals - uncovered by RTL's Team Wallraff - can thus be reduced. Millions of parents around the world and tens of thousands of parents in Germany have already discovered this to be invaluable and enriching for them. Now is the time for daycare centers to heed the call of parents and children and give babies and toddlers a voice. Scandals arise where people are overwhelmed and helpless people, i.e. children, are unable to defend themselves, if only because they are not yet able to speak. But babies and toddlers can speak with their hands, even before they say their first word. Unfortunately, not many parents or educators are aware of this. Making use of this potential is a huge relief for parents, educators and children. In view of the shortage of skilled workers and the increasing workload of nursery teachers, it is therefore essential that methods that provide immediate relief for teachers and children, such as baby sign language, are finally used across the board. It costs nothing, but is very helpful. So let's just do it, because a lack of financial support for daycare centers and the resulting stress and excessive demands on educators must never be at the expense of the children!"

After her short speech, she returned to her training room with her seminar students. Kelly Malottke's training courses from March 1 to 3, 2024 in Koblenz marked the beginning of a new era in early childhood education, which she had already announced in her stage speech at the expert congress in Miami in the summer. Under the name "Magical Baby Hands®", the participants were introduced to the secrets of baby sign language and left with a "Daycare Center Speaker" certificate, which the new daycare center speakers will use to offer daycare center workshops "Baby Signing in Daycare Centers and Nurseries" at over 70 locations throughout Germany with immediate effect.

All the instructors are ready to introduce baby sign language in their facilities and can't wait to shape the future of communication and create better conditions for daycare centers." The first nurseries, daycare centers and educational professionals have already recognized the signs of the times and expressed their interest in a nursery workshop and have booked the first places," explains Malottke. "It's not a question of whether more nurseries will finally recognize the added value for themselves and train in baby sign language, it's just a question of when they will start."
