France je t'aime - With Love from Germany Election Campaign Spot / Pulse of Europe Rally Koblenz

PulseofEurope Koblenz calls for a joyous and peaceful rally with the whole family for Europe next Sunday, 23 April, 14-15: 00 on the Jesuitenplatz / Koblenz.

"We at Pulse of Europe Koblenz are taking part in the French election campaign to convince the French people of Europe. Our motto is "France je t'aime - with Love from Germany". This what Hape Etzold, Coordinator of PulseofEurope Koblenz, is answering when asked what to do to keep Europe together. "We are rallying and sending greetings to France so that after the elections in France we are still having some fun in Europe". The convinced European says: "Peace in Europe is at stake. The Brexit negotiations have just begun and London is already sending war threats to Spain over Gibraltar."

Under the motto "30 seconds for Europe", Europe's friends can make their personal statement at the rally, why they believe it is better for Europe to stay together. The funnier the statement, the better.

The participants are completely free how to express their 30-second statement for Europe: costumes, poster, pantomime, song, tattoo, speech - everything what’s in favour of Europe and takes only 30 seconds, is ok.

So remember three things:

- Europe flags and Europe symbols,
- Pray for good weather.

There has been an alarming increase of radicalization in political life. After the vote for Brexit and the election of Trump, however, we must not remain in shock. There are going to be held presidential elections in the Netherlands on 15 March 2017, in France on 23 April 2017, and in the autumn of 2017 the Bundestag election will take place.

Our aim and contribution

We are convinced that the majority of people believe in the fundamental idea of the European Union and its reformability and development and does not want to sacrifice it to nationalist tendencies. Nothing less than the protection of an alliance, which secures peace and guarantees individual freedom, justice and legal security are at stake.

Unfortunately, mostly negative and destructive voices are heard in public!

Therefore: Let us become louder and more visible! We all must now send out positive energy against current tendencies. The European pulse must be felt everywhere!

Everyone is responsible for the failure or the success of our future, no one can make excuses. To hope, everything will go well, is not enough and even dangerous.
