Classic Artists Today collaborates with Kompoz and Original "Foghat" Member

Classic Artists Today, a weekly syndicated radio show, announces they will participate in a collaboration with Kompoz and Tony Stevens' SLOWRiDE to conduct a contest that allows musicians worldwide to showcase their skills on a new SLOWRiDE song.

Classic Artists Today - "The Best Songs Today...From Yesterday's Top Artists," will feature Tony Stevens, original member of Foghat and leader of the the new band SLOWRiDE, in an interview talking about their new "Join Together" CD and the contest with Kompoz. The special will air during the week of January 7, 2008.

The contest, on KOMPOZ.COM, will allow musicians worldwide, to lay down tracks on the new SLOWRiDE song, Redemption. Kompoz is a social workspace for musicians and songwriters used to compose new music with other people around the world.

With Kompoz, you can collaborate with anyone to create and mix a new generation of independent music based on the open standards of the "Creative Commons". The contest kicks-off on December 17, 2007 and runs through February 15, 2008.

"We're thrilled to join together with Tony and Raf Fiol of Kompoz to provide musicians worldwide an opportunity to be involved with a unique and fun project," states Ray White, the Managing Director of the C.A.T. Classic Artists Today features "new" songs by "classic" rock/pop/soul bands and performers. The 1-hour weekly show is carried by radio stations throughout the United States and Canada.
