Tideway Wins Prestigious British Computing Society Award for Technology Supplier of the Year 2007

NEW YORK and LONDON - 12 December 2007 – Tideway Systems, one of the fastest growing providers of IT automation software, today announced that it has been named the 2007 Technology Supplier of the Year by the esteemed British Computing Society (BCS) It Industry Awards.

The award for Technology Supplier of the Year recognizes the contributions made to the success of a client's business through the use of the supplier’s products and/or services. With its win Tideway joins the ranks of past and current BCS award winners including Google, Vulcan Solutions and VocaLink.

The BCS IT Industry Awards are a central element of the BCS professionalism program and have very quickly established themselves as the leading hallmark of success among practitioners in the IT industry today. As standards of sophistication, business acumen and skill in the IT world are continually developing, the role of IT and its effective management is critical across the whole spectrum of business. The cross-industry awards recognize, promote and acclaim excellence, professionalism, innovation and the outstanding achievements to which individuals and groups contribute.

David Clarke, BCS Chief Executive, says: “This year’s awards are a fitting culmination to our 50th anniversary year which has been exceptional. Technology has enabled unparalleled improvements in productivity and business efficiency over the last 50 years and today IT drives business. These winners have embraced this concept and proven their excellence in innovation and professionalism; they exemplify the importance and value that technology brings to business, society and the economy.”

“Tideway’s selection as the British Computing Society’s Technology Supplier of the Year is a significant highlight in a year of dramatic growth,” said Richard Muirhead, CEO and Founder of Tideway Systems. “We are closing out 2007 with a string of awards that are a testament to our focus on customers, a quality product and our ability to innovate.”

Tideway is on track to double year-on-year revenue in its current fiscal year. The British Computing Society award is the latest in an impressive list of industry accolades Tideway has received in 2007, including the Computing Award for Business Software Supplier of the Year, Tideway’s ranking as the fastest growing UK software company by The Sunday Times Tech Track and its short-listing for the itSMF ‘Innovation of the Year’ award.
