CONTROL 2016 - New Z-LASER products with high attention

Leading automotive companies interested in new Z-LASER projectors | Presentation of new OEM ZX product line | Z-LASER goes Industry 4.0 | new ZX laser production line receives award

Stuttgart (Germany) | Recognized by exhibition visitors and even the competitors, Z-LASER presented itself at this year’s CONTROL 2016 not only in a new look, but also only with new products. Thus there had been several tech-talks with leading automotive companies and suppliers.

The interest persists also through out the following days, mainly in the projection and measuring laser Z3D/ZLP-Control and the ZLP-Laser projector. Both Z-LASER products are primarily used in the processing of composite materials, but also at the alignment of components and the scanning of its surfaces. Thereby interesting contacts to the aerospace industry, the steel and metal processing industry and different branches arised. Potentially projects have been discussed.

Aside the ZLP laser projectors other possible applications of the machine vision lasers ZM18S3 (red), ZM18H3 (blue), the Z-Fiber, and the new OEM product line ZX has been presented. The ZX series is automatically manufactured by a robot, so that a constant quality and an optimal alignment of the optical units can be guaranteed. The optics and the stainless steel housing are laser mounted. Thus the transfer of the thermal emission, caused by the laser diode, is more effective and the longterm stability significant enhanced. At “The Vision Show” in Boston the ZX laser production line has received the VISION SYSTEMS DESIGN INNOVATORS Award 2016.

Within the past 30 years Z-LASER developed from a manufacturer of simple positioning lasers to the solution developing partner in the field of laser image processing and OEM in different industries. From Freiburg (Germany) the manufactured laser products are sold worldwide through a network of international distributors. Research, development and manufacturing of all components, and finally the whole laser is made 100% in Germany. Therefore every Z-LASER is a real „Made in Germany“ product. In the headquarter in Freiburg (Germany) about 85 employees develop and create laser modules and innovative laser products/solutions. The Department of Research and Development itself is about 30% of the employees resources. In the region of Freiburg/Baden-Württemberg, Z-LASER delivers a major contribution for the preservation of the local business location. Also Z-LASER educates continuously trainees in the field of electronic and business administration (apprenticeship) and is a well-known and approved partner of several universities (degree studies).
