Turnberry Isle Miami & P.E.A.R. Partner to Launch Kids Summer Camp

South Florida’s exclusive resort and golf club, Turnberry Isle Miami has teamed up with PEAR founder Shelley Erasmus to launch the hotel’s first-ever summer camp for kids, ages 5 to 12 years old.
Empowering participants through self-discovery, team building and development of leadership skills, PEAR programs are committed to enriching participants and stimulating creativity, inspiration and fun – expressed via its motto to “pair play with purpose.”
Schools out and now the fun begins at Turnberry Isle Miami from June 13, 2016 through August 19, 2016. From 9AM to 3PM, Monday - Friday, campers will be given a daily itinerary of hour-long activities as they explore the world around them through sports such as golf and tennis; visual and performing arts; swimming and fitness fun; teambuilding and more including:
Fitness Fun | Learn the importance of good nutrition and the five health-related fitness components; muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Activities and games will be memorable and fun, so being healthy becomes a lifestyle of choice.
Team Training | Children will play games that challenge them to be leaders, utilize and enhance communication skills and validate how to be an integral part of a team’s overall success. Teambuilding activities will help children develop self-awareness, as well as awareness for the people and world around them.
Sports of Sorts | Athletic skills are taught in a non-threatening atmosphere, so whether an athlete is a beginner or advanced, skills will be introduced and improved and everyone wins.
Performance Play | We explore creativity through dance, improvisation and games that challenge children to think outside of the box.
Art Adventures | Children will discover the world of art through a variety of mediums and techniques, which will allow their imagination to create limitless possibilities.
All activities are managed and taught by a well-rounded team of collegiate athletes, educators, as well as visual and performing artists who are all CPR / First Aid Certified and many hold WSI (Water Safety Instructor) and Lifeguard Certifications.
As an official Turnberry Kid, each will receive a backpack filled with surprises as well as daily lunch prepared by Turnberry Isle Miami chefs (vegetarian options are available,) for the following package rates:
• Full Day $325/week or $75/day (includes lunch) l Half Day $225 per week or $55 Daily
For Turnberry Club Members:
• Full Day $260/week or $60/day (includes lunch) l Half Day $180 per week or $44 Daily
