On the one hand, they must be able to handle the material mix of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, plastic, metal and wood. On the other hand, they are expected to be flexible, cushioning and long-term stable and protect the sports products against corrosion. That's why modern skis and snowboards also take the high-performance adhesives from RUDERER to the slopes. For a permanent, structural connection of the sandwich elements, the 2-component epoxy adhesives technicoll® 8266/67 and technicoll® 9461, for example, provide a solution. Due to their resistance to snow and wetness, they hold the ski and snowboard together and protect their users from injuries.

Ideal visibility, good UV, and head protection are essential for a perfect day in the snow. Good ski goggles fit tightly to the face. A foam padding allows comfortable wear and prevents the penetration of cold air. So that the foam does not suddenly come off the flexible plastic housing while skiing, the reactive hot-melt adhesive technicoll® 9305 should be used for bonding. This high-performance adhesive becomes instantly high-strength and can withstand any dynamic load. Anyone who wants to keep a cool head on the slopes needs a superbly crafted ski helmet. It usually consists of a protective shell made of carbon or ABS, an inner shell for cushioning, and a padding. The versatile 2-component contact and plastic adhesive technicoll® 8044 PLUS has proven itself in bonding this material mix.

Bonding of chips in ski cards. For more comfort and sustainability.

In most ski resorts, the modern chip card replaces the classic punch card. It can be carried in the ski trousers or jacket and is the quick key to skiing pleasure. To protect the sensitive data on the chip card, state-of-the-art high-tech materials are used. For bonding the displays and chip modules, the adhesive manufacturer BOSTIK has developed the odour and low-blooming, label-free cyanoacrylate adhesive Born2Bond Ultra LV. This technical construction adhesive is a solution specifically adapted to the needs of the chip card industry and meets all environmental, health, and safety aspects.

The chip cards are usually offered for a deposit and returned to a vending machine. RUDERER offers various adhesives for the manufacture of these deposit machines. The crystal-clear, fast-curing 2-component polyurethane adhesive technicoll® 9430-1 has been specially developed for bonding thermoplastics and is therefore the ideal solution for displays. Thanks to its high flexibility, it guarantees reliable bonds that are flexible but do not break.

The diffusion adhesive technicoll® 8008, on the other hand, was specially developed for bonding precisely fitting housing parts. Although this adhesive coating cannot bridge gaps and unevenness, it can bond numerous plastics together in such a way that it is equivalent to additional insulation. The same applies to the high-performance hybrid adhesive technicoll® 9700, which is ideal for stress-compensating bonding and sealing. Thanks to its high mechanical strength and flexibility, this winter-suitable hybrid adhesive scores with very high notch, tensile and tear resistance. And because the adhesive also permanently withstands high water loads and temperature changes, it perfectly complements the "winter sports adhesive range" from RUDERER.
