Unlikely Pairing: OBU Marketing Takes Collaboration Cross-Country in Work with a Unique Atlanta Podcast Series

Oklahoma Baptist University marketing students Kendrick Price and Aubrey Young are part of an unlikely pairing with a one-of-a-kind podcast series out of Atlanta, Georgia. Soul Thursdays - Live Episode Podcast is a new take on how to do podcasts. Anyone can join to listen in live via Zoom, and be a part of the action as it's unfolding. This unique take on podcasting came about during the pandemic to address loneliness between loved ones.

These students in Dr. Daryl Green's marketing analytics class are building bridges across the country. This micro-internship allows for these students to help businesses and grow their skills and knowledge of marketing with real-world application. They have assisted SoulThursdays with Search Engine Optimzation and blog writing based on their SEO findings.

When asked about the experience, Kendrick said, "This is the type of thing that you don't find at most schools. We're getting real-life experience with clients all over the country."

The team will continue to work with the team at SoulThursdays through the rest of the 2023 Fall semester and hope to continue to build their networks with more work like this!
