SEP – the first bank operator of public electronic services

SEP becomes the first bank operator of public electronic services in Bulgaria which received a lisence from Bulgarian National Bank for payment system operator utilizing electronic payment instrument ''mobile payment'' .
After the success of mobile payment in Japan and USA, Bulgaria is the third country in European union which will transform the mobile phone from a communication device into a safe electronic terminal. Contributing to market development of future services SEP creates an unique alliance based on an "open business model" which guarantees equal access of all participants of the system. The participants in the open business model are banks, mobile operators, retail companies and public institutions which we offer services provided by SEP. BNB approved SEP's Common public operational rules of the new EPI ''mobile payment" thus constituting a legal payment facility in Republic of Bulgaria.
The consumers will be Bulgarian businesses and individuals who wish to use safer, modern, time and effort saving electronic services. SEP mission is to create secure electronic medium for public electronic services and to provide free access to these services of every Bulgarian citizen from every every location of the country any time, by the development of wide spread technological infrastructure.
The use of electronic services is guaranteed higher level of security based on new generation ''smart'' chip cards with personal digital signature and PIN code compatible with every mobile phones. The costumer manages their electronic operations with the help of software application for "mobile wallet" stored in secure sector of the chip card. The exchange of information between the chip of the customer's phone and bank servers is entirely encrypted and secured with digital signature from third party attempts at sniffing and tempering. The additional advantage is that there is no private financial information stored in the phone. SEP as an operator of the new EPI ''mobile payment" services does not operate with customer's money which remains in their bank accounts.
The SEP future plans include:
Building and supporting the national infrastructure for accomplishing safe, easy and comfortable electronic payment for customers in every location, any time
Creating and supporting Customer Service Centre; managing and supporting merchant's infrastructure
Creating Internet site for self-service of the customers and merchants with huge numbers of statistics and auxiliary mediums for supporting. It will not offer possibility for access to bank's acccounts and Internet payments

Mobile payment in the shop (with PIN confirmation)
Mobile payment for Internet merchants with possibility for previous secure identification of payment participants
Mobile payment of electronic month bills and invoices
Mobile transfers of money between individuals
Electronic purse (payments of bills without PIN confirmation code for extreme quickness)
Electronic presentment of invoices - e-invoices from utility companies
Secure identification with electronic signiture by mobile passwords: (single and multiple passwords for Internet access and corporate systems)
