Lucia Christmas Market will be on this winter to lighten the dark season with Nordic Christmas tradition!

In the midst of vibrant Berlin and yet cosily embedded in the romantic settings of a 19-century historic brewery - today's creative base Kulturbrauerei - Lucia Christmas Market, dedicated to Scandinavian Christmas culture, is located. Lucia Christmas Market takes place in the outdoor space of the two courtyards of Kulturbrauerei that are transformed into a brightly lit Christmas world with about 70 stalls and historical merry-go-rounds.

Named after Lucia, the Nordic goddess of light, the market is dedicated to the Scandinavian countries. There are warming "Swedenfires" with open flames, and one unique feature is the art object "Open-Air-Mantel-Heizung" (Open-Air Overcoat Heating System). Five spots have been arranged where guests can warm themselves up. Heat is supplied by an old-fashioned wood stove, and visitors who feel cold can don the fur coats that are waiting for them ready and warm. The Nordic flair is underpinned with Scandinavian music.

In the afternoon, Santa Claus visits the children. They whisper wishes into his ear or put them into the wishing-mailbox. The darker it gets the stronger Lucia is blazing: thousands of sparkling light-spots are finding their way through Kulturbrauerei's courtyards. These are hours for grown-ups. Lucia turns into a stomping ground for Berliners and the curious from all over the world looking for a very special gift and tasting local and Scandinavian delights. Speaking of delights: there's no way for a one-time visitor to try all of the (more than twenty) variations of hot spiced wine - from local standard, Vintner's White, Swedish Glögg, Finnish Glögi to Icelandic mulled wine. If you try to and you find yourself in the arms of a large white angel, don't doubt yourself: the angel is real. Every night it is visiting the market and wraps up the strollers in its lust for life, wisdom and protection.

Lucia Christmas Market is not big enough to get lost and not small enough to get bored. It evokes the feeling of a traditional natural Christmas with family and friends.
