Press release from: Vizocom

Vizocom, a leading global provider of satellite services, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with iSAT Africa to cooperate in providing satellite services and solutions.

Sharjah, UAE, February 29, 2016 -- Vizocom, a leading global provider of satellite services, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with iSAT Africa to cooperate in providing satellite services and solutions such as data solutions including C-band VSAT services and turnkey end-to-end managed services, media solutions, transponder leases, and DTH. Vizocom and iSAT see this partnership as a first step in a growing mutual business relationship.

iSAT’s pan-African C-band VSAT coverage via the powerful Africasat-1A satellite, extensive C-band service coverage and local presence in Africa both on fiber and VSAT including media and data, coupled with Vizocom’s presence and aggressive marketing in MEA and CIS countries allow this partnership to increase the market share via a bouquet of hybrid solutions and leverage on each other’s core competencies.

Vizocom and iSAT believe that this new strategic partnership not only empowers both parties to grow their market in the competitive satellite industry, but more importantly allows both parties to complement each other to serve their customers better by assuring local presence and local support on all platforms. Our customers have a lot to gain from our collaboration and close support with each other, and they can get better and complete services and support, at better prices.

Mr. Mukundan Paravasthu, Vizocom’s Regional Sales Manager for EMEA & Latin America and UAE, commented: “We are very pleased with our partnership with MEASAT and iSAT Africa, and the platforms operated by them using Africasat-1A. These platforms allow us to address the opportunities in the marketplace cost-effectively on account of the high power and favourable elevation of the Africasat-1a satellite. Vizocom has been working closely with MEASAT for link budget support and with this new partnership with iSAT, we intend to take this cooperation to the next stage in an effort to enable each other to provide cost effective solutions at competitive rates to our client base with a focus on our verticals in Oil & Gas, Construction, Mining and, and Security Industries, as well as governments and NGO customers. Vizocom can now access MEASAT’s Africasat-1a satellite service & iSAT’s Terrestrial Hybrid solutions and offer the same to a wider market segment. Be it Government, Telco, Corporate, Broadcast and Media, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Financial, Transportation, or in the Oil and Gas industry, Vizocom can provide a comprehensive end to end solution.”

Mr. Raj Malik, MEASAT’s Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, added: “MEASAT is delighted that Vizocom and iSAT Africa have partnered on the strength of Africasat-1A satellite to deliver cost effective solutions on a pan-Africa basis. This further reinforces MEASAT’s presence and our valued service provider partner’s trust in building service platforms using our satellite’s high-powered C-band beam.”
