Hong Kong Announces Measures to Ensure Safe Products for Children
Hong Kong has recently amended its list of safety standards for toys and certain children’s products. The new standards will be effective on October 1, 2016.Toy Safety Regulations Amended
On January 15, 2016, Hong Kong published a press release announcing an update of applicable and acceptable safety standards for toys and four categories of children’s products falling under the Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance (Chapter 242). These new standards are being used by major international economies for presumption of conformity.
The amended list of new standards will take effect on October 1, 2016
