She Makes History Award Luncheon

NPB Design Studio is thrilled to announce the inaugural "She Makes History Award Luncheon", which will be an annual celebration recognizing 30 successful women from various fields. The awardees have been carefully chosen based on their exceptional accomplishments despite working in male-dominated fields, holding leadership positions, and contributing to entrepreneurship and social impact in Southern California. NPB Design Studio, a women-owned, mission-driven business founded by Noura Bishay and Samia Khair, is dedicated to creating spaces that inspire, empower, and heal the community. NPB Design Studio founders aim to create a catalyst for recognizing inspiring and empowering women.

She Makes History Award was established to celebrate women who have broken barriers, challenged stereotypes, and paved the way for future generations. This year's winners are outstanding examples of women who have accomplished just that. The awardees are coming from 10 cites including Irvine, San Diego and Los Angeles.
Along the winners of the 2023 She Makes History Award are:

• Mayor of Irvine, Mayor Farrah N. Khan, who made history as being the first Muslim woman of color to hold office.
• Irvine Rotary Club President and Founder of Irvine Democratic Club, Jutta Gamboa, who has contributed 25 years of public outreach and philanthropic endeavors.
• NAWBO OC President, Million Dollar Round Table Member and, Melissa Northway, who is a successful businesswoman with years of experience in financial services.
• Co-president of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) San Diego, humanitarian and philanthropist, Jane Niemeier, an advocate for the breakthrough of women in education.
• Executive Vice President San Diego Housing Commission, Emily Jacobs that has a passion to end homelessness.
• Founder/President of Sharia's Closet, Shamine Linton, she believes that "Together we can make this world a better place one action at a time, one day at a time, and one bag at a time."

The She Makes History Award serves as a platform to inspire and empower women to pursue their passions and achieve their goals. The prestigious award ceremony will take place on the 9th of September at Tustin Golf Ranch Club (12442 Tustin Ranch Rd, Tustin, CA 92782) at 10 am, featuring notable speakers including Mayor Farrah N. Khan, Elektra Fike-Data, Executive Director at Tree San Diego, and Noura Bishay, founder of NPB Design Studio. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with the awardees, making it an exceptional networking event.
