Leadership, Heart, and Impact: Noura Bishay Celebrates her 20th Recognitions at WILL Luncheon"
San Diego, CA - 11/26/2025 - Standing among a room of brilliant, courageous women, Noura Bishay paused, placed her hand over her heart, and took in the moment. At the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce Women in Leadership Luncheon, Bishay was honored with her 20th award at the Women in Leadership (WILL) Award, celebrating her unwavering commitment to community, sustainability, and heart-centered leadership."Before I said a word, I looked around and saw the power, the grace, and the brilliance of so many women changing the world, one courageous act at a time," Bishay shared. "This-right here-is what leadership looks like."
Bishay expressed her deep gratitude to the Chamber, especially Kristine Costa, Stephanie Deppensmith, and their team, for creating a space that lifts women and fosters connection. She also thanked Adriana Burner, whose mentorship and nomination made this recognition possible.
Reflecting on her journey, Bishay acknowledged the many awards and recognitions she has received over the years, which honor not just her work, but the communities she serves:
WILL Award from The East County San Diego Chamber Of Commerce
Certificate of Recognition from The County of San Diego, Jordan Z. Marks, Assessor-Recorder/County Clerk
Certificate of Recognition from El Cajon City Mayor Bill Wells
Certificate of Recognition from The County of San Diego, Supervisor Joel Anderson
Certificate of Commendation from Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe
Certificate of Recognition from The City of Lemon Grove, Mayor Alysson Snow
Certificate of Recognition from The City of La Mesa, Mayor Mark Arapostathis
Certificate of Recognition from California Legislature, Assembly Member Carl DeMaio, District 75
Thank you all for recognizing Miss Bishay. "Each of these awards is not just a personal honor, but a reflection of the people, the stories, and the community that shaped me," Bishay said. "I am humbled and grateful for every recognition, every opportunity, and every hand that lifted me along the way."
Bishay reminded the audience that leadership isn't about titles or stages-it's about listening, caring, and building systems that sustain hope, dignity, and connection. She highlighted her initiative, Table of Hope, which rescues surplus food and provides nourishment and belonging through pop-up tables at schools, parks, and churches.
"People don't just come for food-they come to feel seen, to feel valued, to feel loved. It's not charity-it's community. Sustainability begins the moment we share what we have, where we are, and do it with love," Bishay explained.
She also announced her newest venture, The Hidden Gazebo Eatery, offering A Living Plate of Love, Healing, and Egyptian Nostalgia, where every guest experiences culture, connection, and care.
Closing her speech, Bishay reminded everyone that true leadership is standing with others, not above them. She concluded with a joyful group selfie, capturing the spirit of community and celebration.
"This award, and all of these honors, belong to the changemakers, the volunteers, the quiet warriors, and the hearts that make our community beat with so much love," she said.
