RaSpect AI teams up with HKIE to give call for action to stem risk of falling objects

Hong Kong-based startup RaSpect AI is ready to partner with professional communities to make building inspection easier and more effective than ever before. With recent reports of falling object incidents from buildings in Hong Kong, it is clear that there is a pressing need for better building inspection and maintenance practices to prevent such incidents from occurring.

RaSpect AI's cutting-edge AI-powered solutions can provide inspectors and surveyors with the tools they need to identify building defects early, enabling timely repairs and maintenance to prevent falling object incidents. By leveraging advanced computer vision, machine learning, and other AI technologies, RaSpect AI's solutions can analyze data from sensors, cameras, and drones to provide real-time insights into buildings before, during and after repair projects. In a seminar organised by Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) on the 16th August 2023, Harris Sun, founder and CEO of RaSpect presented the technology in detail. More than 50 members of HKIW along with press and media personnel attended the event in person whereas another 1500 plus participants signed up for the online simulcast of the event via Zoom.

"We are committed to making Hong Kong safer by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of building inspections," said Harris. "Our solutions can help identify potential safety hazards and other issues before they become major problems, enabling timely repairs and maintenance to prevent falling object incidents."

RaSpect AI's solutions can also help improve the overall quality control of repair and maintenance projects, enhancing project management and reducing the risk of delays and cost overruns. By partnering with professional communities, RaSpect AI aims to make building inspection easier and more accessible, ultimately making Hong Kong a safer place to live and work.

"We believe that by working together with professional communities, we can make a real difference in preventing falling object incidents and improving the overall safety and quality of construction projects in Hong Kong," added Prof (Dr) Mathew Yuen, acting CTO of the company. RaSpect has already carried out 10000+ drone flights and 200+ buildings in Hong Kong and overseas.

RaSpect AI invites interested professionals to learn more about their AI-powered solutions and explore potential partnerships to make building inspection easier and more effective.
