Flint River Gallery releases new works by Georgia Artist Janice Rentz

New landscape Series focuses exclusively on the South Georgia Landscape.

Janice Rentz, of Albany, Georgia, has released eighteen new South Georgia paintings. Last summer she spent many hours driving the country roads outside Bainbridge, Georgia, where she was born and raised. Janice is a founding member of the Firehouse Co-operative Gallery located in downtown Bainbridge.

Initially planning to paint only a few pieces, she was so inspired by the color found in our southern fields and farms; she painted a series of 15 paintings. Her color palette in these works is a vast departure from her previous work. Mrs. Rentz is well-known for her figurative work in both watercolor and acrylic, winning numerous awards for portraits of dancers and women. She was recently honored earlier this fall as an Artist-in-Residence at the Georgia National Fair.
