RAANDESK® UNITES ART & FASHION IN “LIGHT & LINES”

New York, NY – The Raandesk® Gallery of Art joins designer Kathlin Argiro to unite art and fashion. Photographs by Jennie Barrese will celebrate color and sinuous design, while the drawings and paintings of Jason Bryant capture texture and detail, and Jee Yun Lee's works on paper embrace fashion's femininity and softness. Fashion unifies with the works through the inclusion of pieces from Kathlin Argiro’s current collection. The designer is known for rich fabrics, gorgeous color, and simple sleek silhouettes.

The manufacturing of a more luxurious existence through fashion and art is another focus of the show. Jason Bryant’s cinematic visions explore this through film and perception. In Bryant’s large scale cropped portraits of celebrity faces, flowing material and movie stills, famous subjects are depersonalized, spotlighting how all lives can hold dramatic moments of their own. Jennie Barrese's abstract and colorful digital images play with light and lines, like the realm of fashion, thus appealing to the design-oriented collector, and the small watercolor landscapes and fashion extracts from Jee Yun Lee favors the immediacy of accuracy and drama over the starkness of reality.
