V12 FOOTWEAR LAUNCH METATARSAL PROTECTION BOOT FOR WOMEN
The V2185 Invincible IGS is a high-spec metatarsal safety boot specifically designed for the female foot shape, in order to support and contour women's feet - which are significantly different from those of men. The female foot isn't just typically smaller - it's narrower, features a higher Achilles tendon and has generally higher arches.
Therefore, if a woman has to make-do wearing a work boot in a smaller man's size - which so many women are still forced to do in safety-related industries - it can lead to discomfort, loss of productivity and poor long-term foot health.
So, to offer a work boot that truly safeguards the metatarsal area effectively, V12 had to go to extremes.
Pioneering protection
V2185 Invincible - like its male fit equivalent V2180 - uses pioneering technology to give its wearers protection in the metatarsal area never before available. To produce a boot that would consistently pass the rigorous metatarsal safety test and give wearers the peace of mind of full met protection, V12 employed revolutionary technology and worked with a host of safety experts. And the result was a met protection system unlike any other on the market - the ExoGuardTM.
ExoGuardTM
This unique and patented innovation inside Invincible features an internal carbon strap over 200 times stronger than steel that arches over the middle of the foot, providing supreme protection from metatarsal impact. This type of graphene material is used in stealth aircraft and radar - evidence of just how advanced the technology used in making Invincible is.
To offer even more protection, the ExoGuardTM system has been designed with protective PU studs to disperse energy after initial impact, and a shock-absorbing dual density pad, further protecting the metatarsals.
Packed with protection
Invincible also keeps feet dry and cool with a high-performing breathable waterproof membrane and channels water away with the innovative hexagonal tread of the anti-slip IGS sole.
As well as an incredibly strong toecap and midsole, V12 took things even further by building in shock-absorbing ankle cushioning protection and a hard-wearing abrasion-resistant scuff cap, so the wearer gets top-performing protection long-term.
