Contemporary Glass Artist Abby Modell
Meet Abby Modell, the highly acclaimed glass artist shares her vision of dreamy, celestial, thought-provoking, amazing pieces. Modell has been creating in-demand hand blown glass since 2008. Her recently created "Galaxy Collection" merges design, color, shape, texture and light swirling together to express the complexity and beauty of the universe.
Her work has been receiving raves at major art and design fairs nationally. Additionally, Abby Modell Contemporary Art Glass has shown at the world headquarters of Morgan Stanley in NYC, The Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Canyon Ranch in Lenox, 1st Heclectik-Art Glass International Biennial, Portugal and at the 1st International Biennale in Santorini, Greece. Her commissioned collection includes the famed Bloomingdale's Holiday Windows in NYC, Royal Caribbean's "Symphony of the Seas" luxury cruise ship, and the Faberge Big Egg Hunt in NYC.
Focusing on transparencies and refracted light, Modell creates work inspired by the natural swirling formations of the night sky. She is proud to partner with a zero-waste certified sustainable glass finishing studio committed to reducing environmental impact on our planet.
Hamptons Fine Art Fair kicks off with its much anticipated and glamorous Opening Night on Thursday, July 13th from 6-9:30pm. This Vernissage event is one of the most fashionable and chic evenings of the Hamptons' summer season.Abby Modell's collection has been shown at fine art fairs for over a decade. Her work is also in private homes, corporate collections and museums throughout the United States.
