DISTREE Africa 2015 to provide gateway to fast-growing consumer technology markets
PARIS, NAIROBI - DISTREE Africa 2015 will build on the success of last year’s launch event, providing a powerful business platform for technology and consumer electronics brands to launch, build or manage channels across the continent. DISTREE Africa 2015, which takes place from June 10th to 12th in Kenya, will focus on Africa’s fast-growing retail markets.Farouk Hemraj, Director and Co-Founder at DISTREE Events, said: “DISTREE Africa 2015 is a highly focused trade event where brands can pre-schedule meetings with buyers and senior executives from the region’s top retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time.”
“Africa represents a huge growth opportunity for technology and consumer electronics brands from around the world,” he added. “To maximise business success, you need to understand the channel landscape, meet the right partners and create a strategy that aligns with current market trends. DISTREE Africa 2015 will allow brands to achieve these aims quickly and efficiently.”
Smart technologies and retail business models for Africa will form the heart of the content at this year’s event. DISTREE Africa delegates will each have a personal agenda of pre-arranged meetings for the event. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a conference and workshop programme exploring key issues impacting retail channel development in Africa.
DISTREE Africa 2015 will include a GfK keynote speech providing detailed analysis of market growth and prospects for 2015. Delegates will have the chance to learn what categories and form factors are opening new opportunities for the African retail channel according to GfK - the region’s leading retail trackers.
“DISTREE Africa is an exclusive ‘trade only’ business-focused event,” said Hemraj. “Our mission is to help brands and distributors expand their business in Africa by bringing them face-to-face with the retail executives that can facilitate volume sales to the region’s rapidly growing consumer base.”
Quantum is a Platinum Sponsor of DISTREE Africa 2015. Retailers and e-tailers from 20-plus countries are set to attend the event, including delegations from key markets such as Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa, among others.
“The organised retail channel is developing fast Africa,” continued Hemraj. “Staying up to speed with the latest developments is critical to success. Our dedicated retail research team have identified the specialist retailers, generalists and retail chains that will drive volume growth in Africa. These are the companies that exhibitors will meet at DISTREE Africa 2015.”
“Building channels in Africa is not without its challenges and each national market has unique characteristics. DISTREE Africa is all about saving time and expense for all delegates, by bringing together all the key stakeholders in one place at one time,” he concluded.
