Attic Salt Empowers Independent Artists from Underrepresented Communities with the Launch of its Artist of the Month Program

An eye-catching window display at Attic Salt's Austin location, features products from Sprinkle Bat, a recent Artist of the Month
As part of the program, Attic Salt will directly invest in artists by offering a one-time wholesale order of their creations. This enables the artists to receive vital business capital, empowering them to expand their artistic endeavors and gain further recognition. The selected items will be prominently displayed and sold in all Attic Salt retail locations and online at atticsalt.com.
"At Attic Salt, we believe in radical kindness, community, and equity," said Alex Winkelman, Executive Vice President. "Supporting small artists, creating opportunities, and bringing truly unique products to customers is a dream come true for us."
In addition to the initial wholesale order, successful artists may be eligible for ongoing reorders and future collaborations with Attic Salt. This opens up exciting opportunities for artists to build sustainable partnerships and expand their artistic careers. Attic Salt's nationwide retail network and online presence provide a significant platform for exposure and sales, ensuring artists gain the recognition they deserve.
The impact of the Artist of the Month program extends beyond immediate financial support. Previous participants have utilized the funding received through this program to fund additional studio space, purchase vehicles to transport their artwork, and access valuable business skills training.
Attic Salt encourages all independent artists from marginalized communities to apply for the Artist of the Month program. Applications can be submitted online through the official Attic Salt website. The selection process is thoughtful, with the company's merchandising team evaluating each submission based on artistic merit, potential impact, and alignment with the company's values.
