Lingo24 welcomes resolution on Iraqi interpreters
Translation company Lingo24 is pleased to find its online petition to support Iraqi interpreters contributed to the success of the cause.Lingo24 welcomes the decision of the British government to offer aid and the possibility to relocate for its Iraqi interpreters and translators who risked their lives and those of their families working for the British troops.
The initiator of an online petition (http://www.lingo24.com/language_translation_forum/viewtopic.php?t=1658) to support Iraqi translators, Lingo24 managed to generate awareness and response from inside the translation industry, thus contributing to the cause of the Iraqi interpreters and translators. Many people in the industry showed their support to Lingo24’s initiative, as well as several professional forums and translation portals.
“We were so happy and thankful to see our friends and colleagues in the industry responding to the call and supporting the online petition”, says company founder and managing director Christian Arno. “Let’s just hope the resolution will be finalized properly, offering aid to all the Iraqi interpreters and translators, not just to a selected few”, he adds.
Translation company Lingo24 is pleased to see its efforts contributed to making a difference and is expressing hope that the resolution will provide assistance to all the Iraqi interpreters and translators who helped and continue to help the British troops.
