In recent years, domestic beauty packaging companies was in a state of transition, they gradually started to launch more products that focus on the concepts of sustainability.

Tube packaging pioneer UDN presented its new one-piece tube (also an award winner of LUXEPACK In Green), which reduces resin usage by up to 55%. "This tube cutting the sleeve thickness and integrating the tube head and closure in one component while preserving the functionality of the dispensing closure in the user-friendly package." noted sales manager of UDN. Clear packaging specialist Hip Lik Group, introduced packaging boxes with 100% post-consumer recycled content that have been certified by SCS Global Service.

MZPACK TECH presented their revolutionary PUM biodegradable materials packaging, which uses calcium carbonate (CaCO3) as its main component. Besides, the company added 10% natural materials like lavender, straw, and dendrobe to bottle cap production to reduce plastic usage, which received significant attention on site. "We can increase the content of natural materials to be more eco-friendly, but the cost will be correspondingly higher." said marketing manager of MZPACK.

Tell the Unique Oriental Story

When it comes to the design-related topic, China is still regarded as a unique market, which is even different from other Asian countries. Colors, shapes, connotations are culturally specific. Chinese style design blossoming in the cosmetic industry, with more exhibitors introducing designs with unique Chinese elements.

ANRAN Inspired by ancient Chinese fairy tales including Shan Hai Ching, creates the perfume packaging full of traditional Chinese aesthetics. And in traditional Chinese culture, red is a highly symbolic color, reminiscent of luck and prosperity; gold is seen as the royal and luxury color. Packaging that uses these colors can be found everywhere on the show floor.

Reshaping Perfume Preference

Gen-Z is playing a significant role in transforming China's fragrance market. China has low perfume penetration, but some significant changes on-site indicate an increase in niche fragrance demand.

Examine the cultural dimension of Hangzhou, including the West Lake, Qiantang River Bridge, China Tea Museum... highlighting young designers' free imaginations.
