Classrooms of 2023 need to have the right collaborative tools

Classrooms of 2023 need to have the right collaborative tools

Education has been a hot topic over the last couple of years. Not that it had less attention in the past, but with the global challenges education faced during the pandemic, it was forced to move at a rapid pace towards digitalization and automation. Schools, Universities and other Educational institutes had to adapt very quickly and find innovative ways to teach and engage students remotely on various online and digital platforms.
René Brunt, CEO and Founder of Efflux Solutions is a parent himself, and he completely understands that although education is important to obtain a deeper knowledge of certain subjects it goes beyond that, as it provides stability, financial security, is needed for equality, gives confidence and makes one feel part of a society. He further says that he believes that education forms better citizens and allows for young ones to learn the difference between good and bad, therefore building a better society that respects rights, laws and regulations.
Automation and digitalization leads to ultimate transformation and education is no different from any other business, says René. In fact, transformation within this sector is even more important as it shapes the future of our children.
Just like in other sectors such as Logistics, Legal or Engineering, to name just a few, transformation starts with document automation which is the design of systems and workflows that assist in the creation of electronic documents.
The fundamental shift over the last few years has been for educators to face the fact that students now want to learn in a flexible, personalized format. Students enjoy a technology-focused classroom and want to learn through experiences that meet their interest and considers their time constraints.
Education will never be like it was before and has become student-centric emerging into educational technology.
Some of the trends for 2023 are:
• There will be an increase in the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence)
• Increase in use of high quality digital infrastructure and shifts towards the cloud to increase accessibility to all students
• Blended and Hybrid mode of learning (Hyflex) to maintain a balance of physical and digital learning
• Investment in EdTech solutions that allows insights into student performance to identify areas of improvement and track progress of the students to be able to make data-driven decisions.
• Increase in mobile learning to enable students to have access to learning materials on the go
• Investment in cybersecurity solutions to protect sensitive data as the use of
technology grows
• Increase in use of Virtual and Augmented reality to teach in new, creative ways
• Increase in supporting social and emotional wellbeing of teachers and students
• Increase of game-based learning as it motivates students to engage with educational content in a different way
• Introducing Micro learning and Nano-learning which is a bit sized learning technique targeting small chunks of learning content presented in short easily digestible tutorials in mini-lessons

It is therefore important for classrooms to equip themselves with collaborative tools to bring the best out in their students in this digital era. With that comes a need for digital literacy within education. Digital literacy does not relate to IT proficiency, it is specifically aimed at understanding the technology that mixes digital tool knowledge, critical thinking and social engagement. Through digital literacy teachers are able to lay foundations for students to fully embrace and understand digital tools and online resources the students need to use on a day to day basis.
René states that although technology is imperative it is still important to remember that the fundamentals of transformation within education is to empower learners with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that strengthen them and form them to be able to prepare for and uncertain future while contributing to society and sustainable development.
His vision is to play a large role in contributing towards global transformation, not only within businesses but also in educational institutes made him decide to give FREE efflux Doc-it licenses to all educational institutes globally.
