National Demolition Association Elects New President

The National Demolition Association (NDA) is pleased to announce James Milburn of Milburn Demolition, located in Bellwood, Illinois, is the newly elected President of NDA for the 2023-2025 term.

Milburn previously served as Vice President and was elected to serve as NDA's president during the Annual Meeting of the Members, held virtually on March 9, 2023.

"I am truly grateful to be able to serve the organization in my new role as President of the National Demolition Association," stated Milburn. "In 2022, we saw our Annual Convention & Expo - as well as our Live Demolition Event™ - return with nearly 1,000 attendees and this year's event drew nearly 1,100 attendees. Under the leadership of Scott Homrich and my fellow Board of Directors, we saw the industry rebound and the association begin recovery from COVID-19 by recruiting 70 new members to the association. I look forward to continuing our work to advance the mission of NDA and inspire the next generation of great leaders in demolition."

Other changes to the Executive Committee include the election of:

• Vice President - Ben Hayden, Hayden Wrecking Corporation (Washington Park, Illinois)
• Secretary - Dennis McGarel, Brandenburg Industrial Service Company (Chicago, Illinois)
• Treasurer - Ed Vernier, The Alloy Group (Charlotte, North Carolina)
• Past-President - Scott Homrich, Homrich (Carleton, Michigan)
The following members were elected to the Board of Directors:
• Andrew DeBaise, Rocky Mountain Recycling, Inc. (Commerce City, Colorado)
• Brian McKinney, Gayanga Co. (Detroit, Michigan)
• Brian Priestly, Priestly Demolition Inc. (King City, Ontario, Canada)
• Terry Sturgell, Exodus Global (Hutchinson Island, Florida)

The following members were elected to their second term on the Board of Directors:

• Scott Laird, Independence Demolition, Inc. (Castle Rock, Colorado)
• Jeffrey Sessler, Sessler Wrecking (Waterloo, New York)
