"Bright Breaks Revolutionizes Work-Life Balance in Hybrid Workforce with Innovative Break Solutions"
Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Bright Breaks, a workplace wellness company that helps employees take breaks during the workday, has announced its rebranding from Bright. The company addresses the hidden problems of hybrid and remote work, including aches, pains, tensions, and stress caused by prolonged sitting. Bright Breaks offers a variety of live wellness content, including over 300 7-minute classes each week, as well as automated scheduling of breaks in employee calendars, using AI.Bright Breaks uses AI to recommend breaks in employees' calendars and learns what types of breaks they like, when they like to take them, and with whom. This personalization ensures that employees get the most out of their breaks and can relax and recharge fully.
According to CEO and co-founder David Howe, the company's mission is to inspire and prioritize well-being among employees, and they believe that taking 7-minute wellness breaks is the best way to accomplish this. The company used to offer longer 30 and 60-minute classes, such as yoga and fitness but found that they were not as effective as shorter breaks in increasing participation among employees. The company found that the short content resulted in a 62% increase in employee participation compared to longer content.
Bright Breaks offers a wide range of micro-wellness classes, including stretching, meditation, and even mini-workouts. All of the classes are designed to be done in 7 minutes or less, making them easy to fit into even the busiest of schedules. The company also offers a feature that automatically schedules 7-minute breaks into employees' calendars, using AI to learn and personalize each employee's preferences.
Bright Breaks currently has over 100 customers, including Hyundai, Rakuten Kobo, and The Salvation Army. The company's platform has been well received by its customers, with many reporting a significant improvement in employee well-being, productivity, and employee connection. The company is proud to be helping so many organizations create a healthier and happier work environment for their employees.
In addition to its rebranding, Bright Breaks also recently announced a $1.45M financing round. The funding will be used to continue to develop the company's platform, expand its reach and bring the benefits of micro-wellness breaks to even more organizations. The financing round was led by Atlantic Canadian investors, who recognized the value of the company's mission and the positive impact it's having on employee well-being.
David Howe, CEO, and co-founder of Bright Breaks said, "We are thrilled to rebrand as Bright Breaks and to offer our customers a more focused and effective solution for workplace wellness. Our platform, which uses AI to recommend and personalize breaks for each employee, is designed to make it easy for employees to take regular breaks and prioritize their well-being, and we're seeing great results. We're also excited to have the support of our investors as we continue to grow and help even more organizations create healthier and happier work environments."
