k3 mapa finalises benchmark project with international car producer

Wiesbaden, Feb 3rd 2023. k3 mapa has successfully finalised an European wide benchmark project with an international car producer. Operating figures and performance indicators of various European factories were analysed and weaknesses were highlighted. During the final statement, the manager in charge demonstrated his deep satisfaction with the project.

Performance indicators are used to compare different settings. They are used to compare countries, companies and different situations within one single company. Performance indicators are supposed to create full transparency. They are used to base decisions on facts & figures, rather than believes or feelings. Investment decisions are often based on the relative rating between factories, based on their performance according to the indicators.

But what happens, if the same indicators is applied differently in among the different factories ? Aren't the decisions either biased or even inefficient ?

k3 mapa was chosen to analyse this topic. During the project k3 mapa consultants used an bottom up approach in order to investigate the consistency and the correct application of the company wide performance indicators in Germany, Poland, Portugal and Spain. The results were very surprising and revealed very important insights. The manager in charge was very pleased with the results of the project.
