SAO PAULO, PARIS and LONDON – DISTREE Brazil & Latin America 2014 will gather together hundreds of senior executives and buyers from the region’s top ICT and consumer electronics (CE) retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time. The three-day event gives vendors, brand owners and distributors, a unique opportunity to outline their consumer channel strategy, showcase their latest products and pre-schedule a packed agenda of one-on-one meetings with channel executives.

“Brazil and the wider Latin American region are huge markets for vendors to cover and develop routes-to-market in. We make the process easier, simpler and more cost-effective. We bring all of the top decision makers together, creating a highly efficient business development platform as part of a vendor-neutral, independent event,” commented Tawfik Djafari, Event Director.

“Over the last four years we have built strong working relationships with the most influential channel partners in the region. DISTREE Brazil and Latin America is a highly-focused and structured ‘invitation only’ event. This is an event where deals happen and new business relationships evolve. From A-brand vendors through to new players just entering the region, DISTREE Brazil & Latin America offers compelling channel business benefits,” Djafari continued.

DISTREE Brazil & Latin America will take place from October 22-14th at the Iberostar Bahia Hotel in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. This year’s event will include a special focus on Wearable Technologies (WT), providing a platform for brands active in this fast-growing segment to engage more closely with Latin America’s leading retailers and e-tailers.

DISTREE Brazil & Latin America 2014 will also host GameStream Brazil – a new programme targeted at vendors, distributors and retailers looking to further capitalise on the region’s booming gaming market. The gaming sector in Brazil alone grew by 40% in 2013 to reach a value of US$1.4 billion, according to figures cited by Google. There are 54 million gamers in Brazil with 46 million playing games that require them to be online.

Event Partner GfK will also deliver a series of presentations during DISTREE Brazil & Latin America 2014, providing a comprehensive overview of regional trends and a breakdown of the market for technology and consumer electronics products.

This year’s event will also include an interactive Strategy Forum session covering the main topics impacting the regional retail channel. Some of Brazil’s largest retailers will also take part in a special roundtable discussion, identifying the challenges and opportunities they currently face.

“The delegates at DISTREE Brazil & Latin America represent a powerful channel community. By uniting vendors, distributors and retailers through an independent event, we can drive an open discussion on key topics such as margins, marketing, push and pull strategies, training and stock rotation processes,” added Djafari.

Firmly established as the leading annual event for the region’ volume technology and consumer electronics (CE) channel, DISTREE Brazil & Latin America is now inviting all eligible vendors, distributors, retailers and e-tailers to apply for a place at this year’s event.

“The quality of the audience is one of our prime considerations,” added Djafari. “There is a great deal of research done prior to the event to ensure that we have the right people at the event. Not only is DISTREE Brazil & Latin America a great business development platform, it is also a powerful professional networking opportunity for all delegates.”

This year’s event will also host the ‘LatAm Channel Academy: 2014 Awards’ featuring live electronic voting by channel partners to determine overall vendors winners in a number of different product categories. The popular ‘60 Seconds to Convince Awards’ will also take place at DISTREE Brazil & Latin America, giving dozens of vendors the chance to deliver a pitch for their latest product.
