NETZSCH Webinars on Thermal Analysis – Providing Insights

Materials characterization by means of thermal analysis is at the core of NETZSCH online seminars. These regularly scheduled offerings provide a range of information, from general perspectives on various analytical methods to specific topics such as the curing behavior of photo-curing polymers or thermokinetics. The first webinar in the new series uses application examples to discuss the influence of high heating and cooling rates on DSC measurement results.
The Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) method is very widely used in the thermal analysis of polymers. It offers ways of determining the glass transition and melting and crystallization temperatures as well as the corresponding enthalpies, which is why it is often used in materials development, quality assurance and failure analysis. The webinar first introduces basics of the DSC method and then delves into the possibilities for generating fast, precise results using state-of-the-art DSC instruments with high heating and cooling rates.
At the end of each seminar, there is always the opportunity to ask questions. Participation is free of charge.

The “Analyzing & Testing“ business unit develops, produces and markets instrumentation for testing the physical and chemical properties of materials such as metals, glasses, ceramics and plastics using thermoanalytical methods. The instruments are employed for research, development and quality control worldwide and are used in a diverse range of applications spanning from the development of fuel cells to the characterization of pharmaceuticals and from failure analysis of polymer parts to the optimization of building insulation.
