American Megatrends Introduces SnapVDI Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Solution at CeBIT 2014
NORCROSS, GEORGIA, USA / HANNOVER, GERMANY – American Megatrends, Inc. (AMI) a global leader in BIOS, remote management and network data storage solutions, will introduce its new SnapVDI™ all-in-one VDI solution at CeBIT 2014 from Monday, March 10 to Friday, March 14 in Hannover, Germany.CeBIT is the world’s largest and most international computer expo, held each year at the Hannover fairground. The conference provides over 100 expert speakers to discuss the latest trends and topics of the digital world, while the exhibition is packed with innovations that span 14 halls and an unprecedented number of start-up companies for a comprehensive, up-the-minute grasp of the state of the industry.
During CeBIT, AMI will be located in Hall 15, Stand D80 within the “Planet Reseller 2014” area, exhibiting jointly with IT reseller partner Boston Server and Storage Solutions. The highlight of the exhibit will be the worldwide introduction of AMI’s new SnapVDI™ family of all-in-one Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) / Zero Client solutions.
Key features of SnapVDI include a high-fidelity user experience, centralized and intuitive management software, and an intelligent VDI accelerator to maximize performance. At CeBIT, AMI will show how SnapVDI can be deployed and operational in a very short time to drastically reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) - as well as security risks and the complexity of infrastructure management – typically encountered with individual PCs.
Boston Server and Storage Solutions, with 20 years of experience providing first-to-market technology, is partnering with AMI to support SnapVDI users in the European market with all of the hardware and software components necessary for a robust VDI/Zero Client deployment.
“AMI is thrilled to be at this year’s CeBIT exhibition and conference to introduce our new SnapVDI virtual desktop infrastructure solutions together with Boston Server and Storage Solutions,” commented Subramonian Shankar, AMI President and CEO. “This solution represents the intersection of two accelerating trends in our industry: the continued growth of the cost of supporting traditional PC deployments, and the increased capability of VDI acceleration technologies like AMI’s patent-pending Spark™ Intelligent VDI Accelerator to support the needs of the most demanding zero client users. AMI has a unique expertise and position in the market to develop a solution that responds to these trends, and we are very excited to share this new product with the world at CeBIT 2014.”
