The meeting was held in London on April 14th 2011 at the RSA (Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce), and was attended by existing AMI users as well as non-users with an interest in AMI. The venue opened their doors to attendees from 10am for a 10.30 start, and the meeting concluded at 12.30 with a special buffet lunch.
The meeting saw Alain Beauvieux (President, General Manager of Sales and Marketing) present a company overview - focusing on such areas as competitive intelligence, data analysis software and risk assessment software - which set the scene for the User Group. Following this, Eric Fourboul (Chief Technology Officer) performed a presentation based around the new features of Version 6, alongside an introduction to SourceBox.
"The first AMI User Group meeting was a tremendous success, and we enjoyed the chance to present our users with comprehensive presentations of our new Version 6 features," commented a spokesperson for AMI Software. "By introducing our users to SourceBox, we were able to generate a great deal of excitement and interest, and look forward to giving our users further insights into our innovative developments. We would like to thank everyone who came along, and hope our users will join us for another AMI UK User Group meeting in the future."
