Have Lunch with Bill Clinton and Chevy Chase

September 13, 2007 – Charitybuzz, an online auction service that works along side non-profit organizations to auction off experiences, memorabilia and merchandise, is holding a charity auction that includes lunch for two with both President Clinton and Chevy Chase. Founded by Coppy Holzman, charitybuzz strives to create buzz around specific charities through online auctions and live bidding functions and has come together with the two celebrities to raise money for a non-profit organization.

Serving from 1993 to 2001, William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States. Since his presidency, Bill Clinton has been involved in many philanthropic activities including the creation of the William J. Clinton Foundation, dedicated to addressing issues such as the treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS as well as global warming.

Chevy Chase is well known in Hollywood for his comedic performances as characters such as Clark Griswold in the Vacation movies and Dusty Bottoms in “The Three Amigos.”

This celebrity auction will be held in hopes of raising money for The Center for Environmental Education Online founded by Jayni and Chevy Chase and will support an event known as the Chevy Chase Green School Auction. Proceeds will be used to provide connections for in-service teachers so that they may receive environmental education materials and resources for their classroom.

The winner of the auction will receive lunch for two with President Clinton and Mr. Chase at a location in New York City. The date of the lunch is based on the availability of President Clinton but must be redeemed within one year of the close of the auction.
