New Glass Mug with Digital Photo Imprint

FotoInsight prints digital images onto customised mugs and other well inspired gift ideas

Cambridge, 17 Sep 2007. A novelty mug made of frosted glass with a coloured photo imprint broadens FotoInsight’s range of personalised photo mugs. Online photo services like FotoInsight turn a digital image into a personal gift, which preserves memories in colour for many years. As a gift mug it can be a personal present or a funny present.

The frosted glass mug can be edited with a photo and text, allowing to further customize a ‘name mug’ with a photo print. The photographic mug is well suited for coffee, tea, milk and other non-translucent drinks which shine through the frosted glass and change the photo background colour. The coating and heating of glass mugs is a technically much more demanding process than with traditional china mugs. In a special process the coating is treated with heat whereby it binds to the glass’ surface. Instead of a rubber like surface this new printed mug is as smooth and shiny as silk and also longer lasting than with other processes.
