Press release from: Model Engineering Solutions GmbH

Berlin, Munich, 8.11.2013 – The new interface of MTest enables a fully automated transfer of test specifications from the classification tree editor CTE XL Professional. The direct data transfer makes testing and evaluation of MiL-, SiL-, and PiL-simulations with MTest in compliance with ISO 26262 regulations remarkably convenient and efficient. The target-oriented implementation of the legal requirements of ISO 26262 such as equivalence class testing and boundary-value analysis has never been this easy.

Automatic Transfer
MTest by Model Engineering Solutions (MES) supports and automates all test functions for requirements-based module tests of Simulink®, TargetLink®, and Embedded Coder™ models according to ISO 26262. With the new interface for CTE XL Professional by Berner & Mattner, MTest supports an additional validation method to define test data – besides measurement data, Excel, and MTCD. For the fully automated transfer of test specifications MTest creates a CTE XL Professional template for the whole classification tree right up to the initial test sequence. The test engineer specifies test sequences in the generated template with CTE XL Professional. MTest then transfers the test sequences fully automatically. MTest thereby offers supreme comfort to test engineers for the consolidation and evaluation of test results. Furthermore, all established features of CTE XL Professional are available in their entirety: test case generation, dependency rules, test prioritization, as well as the automatic generation of test sequences. MES proves once again that convenient and efficient application is the focal points of its software tools.

Graphic Editor for Classification Trees
The context sensitive editor CTE XL Professional by Berner & Mattner is a powerful tool for the systematic specification and implementation of test cases. The application ranges from system requirements analysis to automated test case implementation, and allows a faster and higher quality preparation of test specifications. Besides the automated test case generation and open interfaces to numerous tools, it supports requirements tracing in development and testing, and enables a measurable assessment of test coverage.
