Report: How the parents buy a school bag
"The first feature that parents notice in a school bag before examining its other features is whether it has anatomical back and straps. Price is the third most important criterion."Athens, September 2022 - Tetragono Bookstores conducted the first school bag survey in Greece. The survey was about how parents choose a school bag for their children in our country and a total of 1,281 moms and dads participated.
Main Research Findings:
Overall, the characteristics that the parent considers when choosing a school backpack are:
> Anatomic Back and straps (86%)
> Bag capacity & compartments (83%)
> The price (67%)
> The design of the school bag (40%)
> The brand (21%)
Other interesting findings:
> 96% of the interviewed parents showed a preference for at least one brand of school bag, while > 4% stated that they do not care if the backpack is no-name.
> 55% of parents stated that their school bag has been "damaged" at least once (torn or other damage/wear).
Methodology:
The research was carried out via an online questionnaire on the bookstore's website for the time period June 25, 2022 - August 19th, 2022 and a total of 1,281 parents residing in Greece participated.
