10-17-2013 07:34 PM CET | Energy & Environment

Press release from: CWC Group

CWC Group recently caught up with Daniel Gnangni, Managing Director of PETROCI to ask his opinion on the upcoming Gulf of Guinea Conference; the most promising opportunities in the Gulf of Guinea’s hydrocarbon industry; the impact of an unstable international gas market on the Gulf of Guinea and priorities for PETROCI.

Gnangni says “Everything highlights the fact that the eastern part of the Gulf of Guinea represents the majority of the African production and offers the best opportunities in the upstream oil sector (…) The western part of the Gulf of Guinea, from Benin and Guinea through to the Ivory Coast and Ghana, also boasts several opportunities for exploration. The potential of this sub-region was highlighted by recent promising discoveries in Ghana, the Ivory Coast, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The geological similarities with Latin America, combined with the recent discoveries made off the coast of Brazil, reflect the attraction of these regions in terms of exploration investment opportunities.”
The full interview can be downloaded on Gulf of Guinea Gas Conference website: http://www.cwcgog.com/exclusive-interview-daniel-gnangni/
