October 09, 2013— Indigo Byte Systems, LLC announces the release of Dr.Explain 4.10, a new version of the application intended for software developers and technical authors, which makes it possible to automate and simplify the complex process of creating help systems and user manuals for software products and systems.

Dr.Explain’s unique technology enables automated analysis of application interfaces. Thanks to this technology, Dr.Explain can automatically analyze an application’s window, take screenshots of all controls (including buttons, menus, lists, and editable areas), and then add explanatory callouts to all images in the help project. After that, all one needs to do is add descriptions to the callouts, and save the result in the HTML, CHM, RTF, or PDF format.

Dr.Explain is successfully used for creating user manuals by tens of thousands of software developers all over the world, including startups and major firms like Hewlett-Packard, Lockheed Martin, Fujitsu, Bosch, HSBC, and Michelin.

What’s new in Dr.Explain 4.10

The new version of Dr.Explain offers even higher level of automation and visualization for faster development of help systems and user manuals.

Among other things, the new version provides a very simple and intuitive process of creating tables of content and title pages both for printed documentation and for software help systems. The redesigned user interface enables flexible and intuitive management of output formats for sections of the help project.

The ideology of Dr.Explain 4.10 is based on visualization, high productivity, and minimization of stressful efforts when developing user documentation.
