Scientific lectures of top international congresses in the field of life sciences can be viewed on www.informed-scientist.org in the form of state of the art webcasts.

New Congress online from the 15th of October

The 9th International Symposium on Hodgkin's Lymphoma will take place from the 12th until the 15th of October in the Cologne Gürzenich. About 1.000 scientists and medical practitioners from all over the world are going to congregate to discuss the latest findings on Hodgkin's Lymphoma with notable national and international experts.

The Informed Scientist is going to publish the presentations and results of this year's International Symposium on Hodgkin's Lymphoma from the 15th of October already. Selected video presentations will thus be available to the scientific community immediately.

Latest findings on Hodgkin's Lymphoma

The focus of the webcasts will be on study results about various new active pharmaceutical ingredients. Like Brentuximab Vedotin, for example, a specific therapeutic agent against the CD30 antigen. Scientists and medical practitioners expect that the new substances will be able to replace chemo and radiation therapies for Hodgkin's Lymphoma in the medium term. It is with great anticipation that the final evaluation of the HD13 study of the Cologne Hodgkin study group is expected, because it might challenge the current standard of therapy for Hodgkin's in early stages and suggests a further reduction in therapy for this group of patients.

All content on www.informed-scientist.org can be accessed free of charge at any time. As Dr. habil. Raimund Wieser, who initiated the video portal, explains: “The free distribution of international research results aims at helping to increase the quality of medical research worldwide. Furthermore, individuals concerned with certain ailments, such as members of self-help groups, for example, are able to get a firsthand account of the current state of affairs regarding the research related to their disease. Video webcasts are the perfect time- and location-independent medium.”
