Managing the Future of Technology in Education will take place on 30th October at the City Tower, Piccadilly.

A Manchester based law firm, Berg, and software development company, Shaping Cloud have joined forces to help educational institutions tackle the technical and legal implications of implementing new technology.

Berg, and Shaping Cloud, both education specialist, will also be hosting a series of law and cloud related seminars later this year, and will offer detailed workshops early in 2014.

The thought leader seminars, which have already received backing from Microsoft, will discuss cloud technology; the advantages, legal implications of utilising social media, and tips for ensuring good practice.

Alison Loveday, Managing Partner at Berg has welcomed the partnership:

“Schools and colleges need to be fully up to speed with the digital age in which we all now live. It’s vital to make full use of the opportunities this brings, but also to head off the legal risks which can be involved. We look forward to working with Shaping Cloud on this exciting and important project”.

Carlos Oliveira, Managing Director at Shaping Cloud said:

“We are delighted to be partnering with Berg, we see it as a perfect fit. This unique offering will remove one of the main barriers to cloud adoption, by ensuring that professional legal advice is offered at the outset, allowing our clients to be safe in the knowledge that they are safe, secure and compliant within their cloud infrastructure.”
