FIRST ROTARY E-CLUB IN PUNE INSTALLATION FUNCTION

The Charter Presentation and Installation ceremony of the First Rotary e-Club of Pune District which also happens to be the 100th club in district was inaugurated and chartered on September 11, 2013 at PYC Gymkhana, Pune.

The function was presided by the District Governor Dr Deepak Shikarpur and Chief Guests for the function were The Rotary Foundation Chair and Past Rotary International President, Rotarian D K Lee from South Korea and Past Rotary International Director, Rotarian Shekhar Mehta and Past District Governor, Dr Mahesh Kotbagi.

The Charter of the e-Club was formally presented to the President of the e-Club Rtn Dimakh Sahasrabuddhe and Honorary Secretary, Rtn Sujeet Sanzgiri by District Governor Dr. Deepak Shikarpur. The induction of the Board of Directors followed, and all the charter members were presented with the Rotary Pins by the District Governor.

President-Elect Rtn Jyotindra Zaveri, Hon Secetary Rtn SujeetSanzgiri, Hon Treasurer Rtn Rahul Gogate, Sergeant-At-Arms Rtn Rohit Srivastwa, Director (Foundation) Rtn Suniel Mande, Director (Membership) Rtn Kedar Saraswate, Director (Public Relations) Rtn Makarand Varnekar, Director (Programs) Rtn Rahul Jain, Director (Next Gen) Rtn Noopur Singhal and Director (Projects) Rtn Asmita Javdekar.

Charter President Dimakh Sahasrabuddhe explained the concept of a Rotary eClub and benefits of same. District Governor Dr. Deepak Shikarpur, shared his vision of the eClub. This was followed by speeches by the two chief guests, with PRID Shekhar Mehta ending the evening with a call to Rotarians to think about the future of this great organization, and how a revolutionary concept like an e-Club could take it to the next level.

The Rotary eClub of Pune, which was chartered on 19th August 2013, is the first-ever eClub in RI District 3131. It also happens to be the 100th club in the district. This club has been sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pune Sports City. Under the leadership of District Governor Dr. Deepak Shikarpur and the able guidance of our GSR PDG Dr. Mahesh Kotbagi, the eClub was formed with Rtn. Dimakh Sahasrabuddhe as the Charter President.
