(arvato Systems/June) Cologne/Gütersloh/Stockholm - Scheduling and advertising planning in a fast-paced on-demand media industry requires maximum flexibility and the ability to integrate and customize. Avatega, the broadcast management solution from arvato Systems, meets these difficult challenges in combination with Comet from the Swedish company June. The product, jointly developed by the two specialists in their respective fields, makes it easy to integrate the latest media technologies. It will be showcased in Amsterdam at a live demonstration at IBC 2013 from 13–19 September.
New communication technologies are being rolled out all the time, together with the changing way in which media is used. These technologies place high demands on professional solutions for the TV and media industry in areas like MAM, media sales, and channel management. Integrating new business processes like VoD, non-linear TV, or cross media initially mean higher costs in all business segments, something that needs to be cut across the board.
Lowering these costs is one of the main goals of Avatega, the all-in-one broadcast management solution from arvato Systems. It is supported here by Comet, the integrated VoD application from Swedish software house June. This application stores and administers vast quantities of information and metadata in media-independent formats, while also managing the required data packaging processes with maximum efficiency. One special feature of the jointly developed solution is that users work in a single GUI, meaning they manage all of the many tasks related to program scheduling, license and rights management, and media sales for the linear and non-linear world from one compact, full-feature screen. All processes are controlled transparently across all media, making it a snap to integrate the latest media technologies.
Prospective and current customers alike can learn about the many benefits offered by the jointly developed solution at IBC 2013, the broadcasting industry’s premiere event in Europe. The two companies will showcase the successful product package in a live demonstration at arvato Systems’ exhibition area (Booth 3.B26).
