Tempest Acquires Portuguese Design Firm 44 Studio to Build its New Product Design Team

44 Studio, a Portuguese design studio, announced today that it is joining Tempest, a San Francisco-based privacy company. As a part of this acquisition, João Oliveira Simões, the founder and now the new VP of Design at Tempest, will lead Tempest's product design team.

João Oliveira Simões has been leading 44 Studio's team since co-founding the company in 2012. Prior to 44 Studio, João Oliveira Simões worked on product teams at Brilliant, Sparks, and Handy.
