G2G3 launches new ISO/IEC 20000 simulation to address rising interest in service quality

Press release from: G2G3

G2G3 (g2g3.com), the leading global provider of IT communication and gaming solutions, has launched Polestar 20000, an exciting new simulation which provides awareness and understanding of the international IT Service Management (ITSM) standard, ISO/IEC 20000.

ISO/IEC 20000 is the first worldwide standard specifically aimed at IT Service Management. ISO/IEC 20000 promotes an integrated process approach to the effective delivery of quality managed services which meet business and customer requirements. This holistic approach requires a cohesive and coordinated effort across the entire business.

Polestar 20000 addresses this challenge in the form of a high-impact simulation which brings quality service management to life in the context of a realistic and exhilarating scenario. Participants taking part in the Polestar 20000 simulation rapidly understand the requirements and benefits of attaining the ISO/IEC 20000 standard.

The Polestar 20000 simulation will help organizations looking to address governance and other regulatory pressures through driving measurable service quality improvements within IT. The Polestar 20000 simulation will also provide competitive advantage and add significant value to training providers offering the Service Quality Management (SQM) certification program.

Mark Ross Sutherland, CEO, G2G3, said: “More and more organizations are looking to achieve the ISO/IEC 20000 standard in order to demonstrate their commitment to ongoing improvement of IT services. Polestar 20000 can accelerate achievement of ISO/IEC 20000 through creating a shared understanding, commitment and impetus to improve”.

Industry analysts have also recognized the growing market importance of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard. In a January 2007 research report, Gartner Inc. stated: “By year-end 2008, at least 60 percent of relevant public-sector sourcing deals, and at least 30 percent of relevant private-sector sourcing deals, in mature information-and-communication-technology economies will demand ISO/IEC 20000 certification in their requests for proposal (0.6 probability).”.*

The Polestar 20000 simulation is available to license directly from G2G3 and will be showcased at the itSMF USA Conference on September 16-19, Charlotte, NC.
