Harlem Fine Arts Show: The Largest Traveling African Art Exhibition Returns to Washington D.C. June 10th-12th, 2022

The Harlem Fine Arts Show features over 2,000 works from around the globe and special collection paying tribute to Juneteenth
This year's show shines a spotlight on the art and relics of over 60 artists including the work of James Byrd, Earlene Hardie Cox Sculptures, Clifford Laing and Latoshia Fomby. This amazing kaleidoscope of art representing dozens of countries and cultures has allowed HFAS to curate one of the largest art sales from distinguished collections, tribal treasures and sophisticated art. HFAS is excited to bring back the jaw dropping collection of the Soweto Fine Art Gallery. Ticket holders will also be able to purchase work from world renowned galleries such as E&S Gallery, Waterkolours Fine Art Gallery, Stuart McClean Gallery and many more.
In addition to the daily art exhibit, each day HFAS will advance the culture by featuring a special tribute to men and women in the community. Friday will kick-off with a salute to honor the brilliance of HBCU's. Saturday's show will pay tribute to the brave men and women in the medical field who fought on the front lines of the pandemic. Sunday is community day and will feature a pre-Juneteenth Celebration with a special collection of art honoring this historic holiday and a tribute to black fathers.
The 2022 show holds special importance to HFAS President, Dion Clarke, "Among the tenets that HFAS prides itself on is creating economic empowerment, educational opportunities, and professional recognition for the artists that exhibit in our shows. Those artists have had to make a hard pivot in how they showcase and sell their work based on the restrictions placed on us by COVID-19, the primary disruptor of last year. Yet, what they have to say and create is more than ever. The work created by artists of the African Diaspora will tell the story of what this time was like in our lives, what we did in this moment of historical change, and most importantly, how we felt."
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Eventbrite and at the door. For additional information, visit https://www.hfas.org.

ABOUT The Harlem Fine Arts Show
The Harlem Fine Arts Show (HFAS) celebrates the African Diaspora by bringing together contemporary artists with the growing class of collectors. The goal of facilitating this coming together is to showcase cultural ideas and raise awareness of this extraordinary body of work created by these international, national and local artists. As a result of sponsorship provided by numerous national and local businesses, HFAS travels to communities around the nation. It provides a platform for highlighting advances made in the arts, education, economics, healthcare, and generally throughout the communities to which it travels. Additionally, it recognizes and honors those who by working in these various sectors, have dedicated themselves to raising up their communities and those who live in them.
