DigiPara introduces first elevator application for designing elevators inside Autodesk Inventor software

DigiPara announced an enhanced version of its DigiPara Liftdesigner software that works with the 3D mechanical design software Autodesk Inventor. DigiPara Liftdesigner for Autodesk Inventor is designed to expedite and standardize the design process for developing 3D elevator models and components inside Autodesk Inventor software. It greatly simplifies the development of new elevator configurations, which reduces development time and costs.

When developing new elevator configurations, elevator companies usually define their own parameters, rules or external parameter files and self-developed configurators, which are hard to maintain and lead to lost data between departments.

DigiPara Liftdesigner for Autodesk Inventor was developed in close collaboration with Autodesk Inventor experts and elevator companies to enhance and standardize the development of 3D elevator configurations inside Autodesk Inventor software. It is a sophisticated Intelligent Elevator Configurator, which consists of predefined and established elevator parameters, component structure and elevator logic. DigiPara Liftdesigner combines all the important elevator information, which removes the elevator company’s need for developing their own solutions. The centralized data management limits lost data across departments and allows engineers to easily maintain, reuse and distribute products to colleagues, partners and clients.

In addition, with a large Manufacturer Library of more than 65 different suppliers, it allows elevator companies to simply assemble an elevator by selecting supplier components. By making the own components public, elevator companies can share and promote new products to other DigiPara Liftdesigner users.

The integrated Cabin Configurator helps engineers to configure the main cabin characteristics (mirrors, handrails, flooring, wall panels, etc.) to create cabin approval, entrance hall and installation drawings. Additionally, DigiPara Liftdesigner supports Autodesk Showcase to create photorealistic 3D visualizations of the elevator cabin.
