HIPAA is a US-mandated set of rules and regulations that stipulates how healthcare institutions and other organizations must handle patients' personally identifiable information.

An extensive third-party audit recently validated Open Access BPO's data security procedures' adherence to HIPAA's critical guidelines. These include the restricted use, disclosure, and protection of healthcare data and the immediate notification and response to data breaches.
